Why not is my new mantra. After experiencing so many physical issues, mine, my husband’s, and even our dog’s, I may swear, but I don’t stomp my feet or indulge in any of the useless self-chatter that makes no one feel better. A unique pain in my hand.
It sounds to me like you and Bob could use a REALLY GOOD chiropractor! Often pain in the extremities are caused by a pinched nerve in the spine. There are many (too many) not-so-good chiropractors out there and if you don't already have one in mind, you should definitely ask your friends for one they recommend.
I found one here in Vacaville, and he may have saved my life! When he ordered the initial x-ray, he had it analyzed by a medical doctor who noticed I had two aortas that could possibly lead to a fatal aneurism! They told me to get a sonogram, and when I had that, they actually told me "we need to admit you to the ER." YIPES! Scared me to say the least. Well, it turned out that the only way I could get a timely CT scan was to admit me, and I was OK with that. The CT scan was quick and revealed that yes, I did have two aortas that I need to keep an eye on, but not so bad as to need a stint (thank God!). I have occasional back pain all because I have to lift stuff upstairs a lot, and numbness in my writing hand because I write so much--chiropractic care sure helps with that. Anyway, just a thought, that a good chiropractor might help you and Bob, too. Don't know about the dog, though.
I came to “why not me?” years ago. I’m not always successful but I try. I’ve had many opportunities to exercise this “muscle” in my 75 years- Thank you for reminding me ✌️
Yes why not me? Works well! Thanks
Really helpful...thanks for sharing..

I love your "why not?" attitude. Mine for the moment is from Dorothy Parker: "What fresh hell is this?"
It always makes me smile! samantha
And it made me chuckle and smile. I may use it.

Sorry about your pain and health scares but glad you found the medical help you needed.
Thank you for your suggestion.
“Why not?” Seems as good an approach as anything. Better than self pity or negativity. 😊

Excellent read! “Why Not” is better than “It what it is”
Yes—“it is what it is” is a meaningless overused cliche.
